Standard Size Chart

Although "Off the Peg", O'Three will ensure that a good fit is achieved.

Our extensive size range and the large amount of adjustments that can be made, for example, tweaks to the seals, arms and legs that might need shortening, or a change in boot size, means that we can correctly fit many shapes and sizes into "off the peg" suits.

Taking into account our unique fitting service which can involve much more complicated adjustments then mentioned above, this standard size guide should be used as a guide.

Please get in touch if in doubt.

However if a good fit is not possible there is always the option of a made to measure.

Valves

Our 'Off the Peg' suits come fitted with an Apeks swivel inlet, hose and low profile Auto Dump as standard. Inlet and Hose with SeaTec fitting.

Low Profile Swivel Suit Inflation Unit and Hose

Low Profile Swivel Suit Inflation Unit and Hose - Apeks robust and totally reliable inflation valve features an extra large recessed push-button allowing easy operation. The smooth back plate gives protection from uncomfortable pressure loads and helps prevent cold air blasts through underclothing. The valve sits low on the chest making it less prone to snagging. The 360° rotation is a key feature of this valve to meet your personal hose configuration. Comes complete with a 29" (74cm) long medium pressure hose, with the more universal Seatec coupling.

Low Profile Automatic Dump Valve

Low Profile Automatic Dump Valve - The most technically advanced and reliable automatic dump valve available. Correctly adjusted, the valve gives effortless yet controlled hands free ascent as expanding air automatically vents from your dry suit. Equipped with a manual over-ride system allowing you to vent the suit completely without disturbing your personal buoyancy setting. This valve has the lowest profile with optimum dump rate. It has an improved ratchet feel and is ergonomically designed for ease of use

Original Automatic Dump Valve

Original Automatic Dump Valve - Functions in exactly the same way as the Low Profile version. For Re-breather users, with front mounted counter lungs, this valve will be easier to reach. This valve can be supplied with a higher break pressure approximately twice that of the original. This higher break valve adds an additional £15.45

Carbon braided hose

Carbon braided hose - This high end hose features an external nylon safety braiding designed to resist the snags and abrasions that divers can often encounter. The double braiding also resists UV rays out of the water, thus extending the lifespan of the hose. Can be supplied with either Seatec or std Apeks coupling. This hose comes as standard on the ccn range. For other suits, please add £25.00

Cuff Dump

Cuff Dump - 45mm in diameter, old school, but effective. Virtually free from maintenance and requires no adjustment. Designed to fit in the lower arm and allows air to be vented from the suit by simply raising your arm. O'Three will fit this valve to the underside of your arm, unless otherwise stated.Cuff Dump - 45mm in diameter, old school, but effective. Reflective

This reflective moulding is unique to O'Three and is SOLAS approved

Reflective

Reflective - This reflective moulding is unique to O'Three and is SOLAS approved. 11cm x 7cm. Additional reflectives can be added to any of our suits at extra cost.

Hood Attached

As with a front entry dry suit a hood attached system will tick some boxes, but will create one or two negatives. Increased warmth and reduced flushing are the real benefits, however equalisation and neck seal setting is made harder. Removal of the hood is obviously not an option when the weather improves. There are several options available and you may have a preference, please call and we will be able to discuss those options in more detail.

Made to Measure

Although made to measure is the ultimate way to have a suit made, at certain times of the year long lead times have to be considered. If you need a quicker completion, please consider the "off the peg - made to fit" options that are available on all O'Three suits.

The three key stages to O'Three's customisation Made to Measure process. There are many factors that need to be considered when purchasing a made to measure dry suit. However, certain build parameters must always be adhered to.

Types of diving and individuals perception of just how a suit should fit can vary hugely. O'Three will always guide and advise on how we feel a suit should be tailored and customised, but ultimately, it is down to each person.

To ensure this 100% customisation is achieved, we always insist, where possible a fitting is done before your suit is complete. It is at this stage any adjustments that need to be made to the fit of your suit can simply and easily be done with no compromise to the integrity of any seam. Exact position of all components, valves, pockets etc are then discussed and marked onto your suit.

This might seem like a long winded way but it works. We feel this is the only way you can truly achieve a genuinely customised suit.

Stage 1: Choose Your Suit.

Either online, over the phone or in the shop. Get measured, decide on materials, seal combinations and colour ways at this first step.

If you choose to do any of the above remotely O'Three will always be pleased to guide you through this process. It's not really that difficult as long as you remember some basic points as detailed in the measurement form section of this website. Please call if not 100% sure

Stage 2: The Fitting

This is the most important and critical stage of production. We know it's a big ask, but it is at this stage, where every effort must be made to try and come down to our workshops here in beautiful Portland, Dorset, UK. We call this "a fitting". This fitting date is given when you place your order.

Stage 3: Completion

After stage two, you will be given a completion date for collection or despatch of your new suit. Normally two working weeks after your fitting.

As well as the full specification above, the cost of your suit includes many customizing options, some of which are listed below.

A choice of;

Repairs

We can repair all types of neoprene dry and wet suits.

Membrane / Trilaminate:

O’Three will also repair main panels, seals and zips on most Trilaminate and Membrane type dry suits. Unfortunately due to construction methods used on seams, when leaks do occur it can be very difficult to make an effect repair, therefore we will have to approach each suit on an individual basis and will advise after a full leak test.

Lead times:
During busy times we will always do our best to keep people in the water. For O’Three customers, if lead times are pushed, wherever possible we will always try and loan a dry suit.

Warranty

O’Three have gained a unique reputation for producing high quality individually customised dry suits and delivering customer care that is at the very core of everything we do.

Within the company we are lucky enough to have a wealth of knowledge that has been made possible through a superb record of staff retention.

Every dry suit is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for three years. In the unlikely event that you do experience a problem during that period, if after inspection O’Three are satisfied that a product is defective, and taking into account what they regard as fair wear and tear from the natural life of the dry suit, they will repair or replace it free of charge.

In Plain Terms:
In this day and age of lawsuits and litigation, O’Three prides itself on its “no nonsense, no hassle” after sales service – which we are told is second to none.

O’Three has been able to develop this side of its business because of the mutual trust it develops with its customers.

Kevin Rainford - Diving Instructor

Kevin leant to dive in 1995 after his first dip he decided that being under the water was much more fun than being above it! During the next 2 years he had completed over 350 dives and climbed both the BSAC and PADI ladders to Advanced Diver and Divemaster level. By 1999 with over 700 dives under his belt he passed his PADI IDC and started work as a diving instructor on the South Devon coast. In 2001 he learnt to dive on an Ambient Pressure Inspiration, which is now his preferred means of spending time under the water.

In the last 11 years Kevin has taught and assisted in the instruction of over a 1,000 divers varying from PADI Bubble Makers through to Closed Circuit Trimix divers. Apart from a 12-month spell in the Red Sea working as the diving operations manager for an award winning live aboard company the vast majority of his diving has been in UK waters.

He now runs his own company Inspirational Diver Training, located in Exeter Devon, but he regularly gets invites from divers to conduct training in Malta, Ireland and the Red Sea.

In 1998 he visited O'Three for a suit fitting where he met Sean and the love affair began!!! (With the Ri 2-100 suit that is) 12 years on and that love affair is still going strong. Kevin is currently diving in a 1.5mm Ri ccn suit combining it with an O'Three Heated Under Vest, he believes this is the best all year round option combining Ultra durable lightweight flexibility and instant added heat.

Mark Powell - Technical Diving Educator and Author

O'Three suits are ideal for technical divers. The flexibility of the suit allows me to reach my valves easily and the comfort is ideal on long dives. The made to measure service was ideal for me as it allowed me to get the suit made to my exact specification. All of this is topped off with the fantastic support that O'Three always provides.

Mark has been diving since 1987 and has been teaching since 1994. He has been a full time technical diving instructor since 2004 and teaches at all levels up to and including Advanced Trimix. He is a contributor to Sport Diver Magazine and has a monthly Technical feature discussing different aspects of technical diving. Mark represents TDI on the British Diving Safety Group as well as being a member of the Diver Training and Breathing Apparatus committees at the British Standards Institute. Mark has also served on the national executive of the Sub Aqua Association as well as being the Technical Diving Advisor to this agency.

In 2008 Mark published Deco for Divers, a widely acclaimed overview of the theory and physiology of decompression. This has quickly become the standard text on the subject and is recommended reading by a number of the technical diving agencies. In 2010 Deco for divers was awarded “Publication of the Conference” at the EuroTEK.10 technical diving conference. Mark’s passion is wreck diving and spends all his spare time diving the wrecks around the coastline of the UK. He firmly believes that the UK is the best country in the world for wreck diving although has also led expeditions to a range of other locations around the world.

Martin McGrath - Professional Diver and Expedition leader

Martin is a full time professional diver. Originally from the North East of England, he began diving whilst still studying for his degree.

On a trip to see his Sister who was working in the Arabian Gulf, he decided that the Expatriate life was for him, and it took him more than 25 years to return home! He freely admits to not being able to "Walk past a puddle without wanting to get in it to see what's at the bottom of it" and thinks that the North and South Polar regions are one of the best places on earth to do it.

He has done more than 8000 dives in a career lasting more than 25 years. He is a PADI Master Instructor, a BSAC Advanced Instructor and an HSE Commercial diver. He works as a safety and support diver for TV and Media crews in extreme environments.

He has speciality instructor rating in more than 17 disciplines, and he is also a qualified skipper with sea survival and VHF qualifications. He is an emergency first response instructor trainer and a scuba technician.

He has dived in Antarctica, Australia, Scapa Flow, UK, Norway, France, Spain, Sicily, Beirut, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Caribbean, Indian Ocean, South Africa, Mozambique, Maldives and the Galapagos Islands.

He has owned his own dive centre in the UK for the last 5 years, but now devotes his time to safety and expedition diving.

"I'm in a fortunate position to have a choice of several dry suits. I've had a long term relationship with O'Three, they understand that in certain situations I'm obliged to wear other suits. Over the years my diving has evolved where remote destinations with extreme conditions are the norm. For the last fifteen years when it matters, there's only been one suit for me..., O'Three.

Paul Rose

I've been using dry suits since the early 1970's and without a doubt my O'Three dry suit is the best I have ever had.

I said that the day I tried it for size at Portland as it immediately felt right. Since then I've used it constantly for presenting my BBC series Oceans and Britain's Secret Seas and it's given me great service.

From the Southern Ocean to under ice in the Arctic and all round British waters the suit has been flawless.

Teresa Telus - Britannic 98, Long hang

Teresa Telus is one of the most experienced deep wreck-diving women in the world, and has been a key member of several major expeditions. In 2003 she dived RMS Britannic (120mtr), running longer bottom times than her male counterparts. She co-led an expedition to identify the pre-Dreadnought Duncan-class shipwreck HMS Russell in Malta. Part of a team exploring and filming the Lusitania, she has also joined expeditions to the Egypt, HMS Vandal and many others.

"Having tried several varieties, I have found that, for deep diving and long decompressions, O'Three Ri fabric suits are fantastic. They're robust, flexible and warmer than any tri-lam, giving me the security I need on a long dive."

Teresa's partner Kevin Pickering has accompanied her on many dives, he also wears an O'Three dry suit.
